Is it possible to use thick needle threads of size 15/3-ply or 10/3-ply for automatic jeans pocket setting?
-
Yes. With the pocket setter PFAFF 3588-04/020, equipped as standard with thread trimmer 900/81, this has become possible for the first time. Needle threads up to a size of 10/3-ply can be sewn and cut.

How can I make seams water-tight on weather-proof clothing?
-
Seams on weather-proof garments of all kinds can be sealed durably with the PFAFF 8304 hot-air sealing machine for over-taping with a seam sealing tape.
-
Is it possible to use a manual working method alongisde a programmed method for sewing in jacket sleeves?
-
Yes, you can use the PFAFF 3834-4/21 to insert jacket sleeves using the manual method or the programmed method. In the manual method a second pedal is used to trigger the fullnessand the fullness setting is displayed on the control panel. In the programmed method a program is made up using the teach-in method with all fullness amounts; grading figures can be input at the same time. In this way, sewing programs are made up for all sizes automatically. This means the machine can be used in cases where a skilled operator is needed (making up samples, sewing small series, great material variety) and for less skilled operators, where its automatic operation is important for quality assurance.

How is it possible to sew a jacket front edge as thin as possible without any pressure marks?
-
Equipped with a special edge-trimming mechanism, the PFAFF 3822-1/44 allows stepped trimming of the jacket edges. With a differential feed system it is also possible to apply fullness at the required sections. This means there is no need to staple or clamp the cuttings.
-
How is it possible to ensure accurate matching of right and left shoulder seams on jackets?
-
The PFAFF 3827-2/24 memorizes the entire seam sequence while the first shoulder seam is being sewn. When the shoulder seam on the opposite side is sewn this allows accurate reproduction of the seam. All sections of the seam sequence, such as flat sections or fullness sections, are then sewn in reverse (or mirrored).
