Shanghai, 21st september 2009 - After the IMB 2009 trade show in Cologne, the CISMA in Shanghai is the second largest arena for showcasing the new company, PFAFF Industrial. A new product offensive was started in May 2009 by the new chairman of the board and owner, Joachim Richter. Consequently PFAFF Industrial presented the first new developments at the CISMA.

By launching the new PFAFF 3590 vario in Shanghai, PFAFF Industrial is showcasing a modular and freely configurable large area computer stitcher for applications in the automotive, shoe, leather goods and technical textile industries.

The computer stitcher is equipped with a unique (patent registered), precise and highly flexible feed motion system. Optimum stitching and stitch length are guaranteed by the intermittent feed and transport stop when the needle enters the material. In addition to this, the material layers of cut-to-size pieces are prevented from shifting in the sewing material clamp.

Different sewing area sizes (e.g. 300x300 mm or 300x500 mm) with the appropriate sewing material clamps are now available. Other sewing area sizes can be configured on customer request. The clamp is simply constructed and can in most cases be produced on-site. The machine has a modular design; special automatic sewing heads with different hook systems allow for thread thicknesses of up to 10/3x to be processed with optimum stitch performance.

Ergonomics at the workplace have taken new dimensions with PFAFF 3590. The sewing head can be positioned crosswise or lengthwise (depending on the size of the sewing area) to enable optimum access to the needle and material.

Sewing programs and sewing corrections can be performed directly at the machine using a logically constructed touch-control panel, and then saved onto SD memory card. The PFAFF 3590 vario works with the PSP (PFAFF STITCH PROGRAM) system. This software can be installed on nearly any conventional PC with a Windows operating system.

PFAFF 3590 vario stands for maximum flexibility and premium quality!

Without doubt, PFAFF Industrial is the market leader for high-performance, attaching of pockets for producing jeans and shirt pockets. With the PFAFF 3588 Cargo plus, PFAFF Industrial is launching a solution for producing cargo pockets.

The freely programmable automatic sewing unit PFAFF 3588 Cargo plus is distinguished by the versatility of its patented folding systems and sewing templates.

The touch-control panel P1 ensures ease of use combined with intuitive operation. The PFAFF Cargo plus achieves efficient production with a consistent and high quality. It sets new standards for this process in terms of reproducibility and reliability. With the Cargo plus, PFAFF Industrial reinforces its technological leadership in the field of freely programmable pocket sewing units.

PFAFF Industrial has redesigned the 480 and 5480 series under the motto "A legend with a new design". Both series are robust and efficient, high-speed sewing unit generations, "Made in Germany". The range of potential applications and the part kits variety for these products is unique on the market. These high-speed sewing units are produced entirely at the new plant of PFAFF Industrial in Germany and also benefit from an attractive price/performance ratio.
