The traditional company PFAFF in Kaiserslautern looks optimistically into the future. Starting April 16th the new sole shareholder Joachim Richter (49) runs as managing director the operative business of the newly founded PFAFF Industriesysteme und Maschinen AG - and the entrepreneur is committed to the location in Kaiserslautern. After having relocated – no later than end of June – PFAFF Industrial will continue the production in its new facility. The company will employ 300 people medium-term.
The life motto of the new owner can be felt everywhere around the old, dignified PFAFF halls which are filled with tradition: „We are going to win!“ Joachim Richter doesn't want to look back: „We have good employees, loyal customers and an outstanding product – the foundation for a successful company.“ The first customers and employees feedback regarding the new start is truly positive.
At PFAFF Industrial there is the spirit of optimism. The company has already the concept for the future: As an innovative leader PFAFF Industrial will manufacture high-tech machines in Germany. But there is more: custom-specific solutions are supposed to generate innovative sewing and sealing solutions with a flexible process design. The new location – equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing machines – helps to reduce delivery times and allows to react quickly to customer needs. In this context Richter stresses: „during the transition period the supply machines and spare parts as well as sales support and customer service are guaranteed.“
At the IMB fair in Cologne, the most important clothing machines show in the world. PFAFF Industrial presents itself under the new slogan „Excellence in seaming“. On the exhibition floor of more than 320 sqm PFAFF Industrial shows approx. 30 solutions for the clothing and leather industry as well as for the sector „technical textiles“. PFAFF Industrial, the only supplier producing sewing machines and welding technology, looks back on a long tradition of more than 145 years. After this new start PFAFF Industrial is the last big producer of sewing machines in German hands and remains a joint stock corporation. The fact that the owner will personally manage the company has provided confidence to employees and business partners alike. Joachim Richter wants to guide one of the best known brand names in German machine building into a successful future.
