Largest individual order since the existence of subsidiary in Taicang, China

Kaiserslautern, 24th June 2008. Last week the PFAFF Industrial Machinery (Taicang) Co., Ltd. (China), the wholly-owned subsidiary of the PFAFF Industrie Maschinen AG, received the largest individual order since the existence of the company, worth about € 1.1 million.

In the theme sector upholstered furniture and bedding, an international jury of experts for the ’Interzum Award’ gave the Kaiserslautern sewing machine manufacturer, PFAFF INDUSTRIE MASCHINEN AG, an award with the distinction ’BEST OF THE BEST’ for a newly-developed upholstery sewing machine. More than 150 products and solutions were submitted. The ceremonial award of the prize for the award-winning products will take place on May 8 during the INTERZUM trade fair.

Kaiserslautern, January 2007. Last autumn the PFAFF France Industrie S.A.R.L. (Illkirch/France) went on a “Tour de France“ with various PFAFF-welding machines. For two weeks customers and potential customers were informed on their premises about the functioning methods and benefits of welding.

First combined ultrasonic/laser sewing machine put into operation in Great Britain

Kaiserslautern, December 2006. In the middle of November 2006 the first combined ultrasonic/laser sewing machine was inaugurated at the University Coleg Sir Gâr in Carmarthen (Wales) in a ceremonious act by Andrew Davies, Minister for Enterprise, Innovation und Networks. PFAFF and ProLas developed this machine in cooperation.

The matter concerning a new building for the PFAFF Industrie Maschinen AG in Kaiserslautern has been settled!

Following intensive discussions between the management and the Land government, represented by Prime Minister, Kurt Beck, Minister for Economic Affairs, Hans-Artur Bauckhage, and the town of Stadt Kaiserslautern, under the lead-management of the Lord Mayor, Bernhard Deubig, the course was set for a new building in the industrial zone, IG Nord (Siegelbach, an area of Kaiserslautern).

Russia: PFAFF wins project for the production of men's suits

Kaiserslautern, May 9th, 2005 - In the first quarter of this year it was possible to obtain a new customer in Russia - by the autumn, this young private company will be setting up the production of classical men's suits and has decided on a hi-tech production line.
